Alhamdulillah! All praise and thanks are due to Allah (SWT). This achievement is by the grace of Allah (SWT) and the collective efforts of the CIS-AJC family and the Calgary Islamic School Society (CISS).
1st Place - International Robotics Competition
Our students won 1ST PLACE among all international teams, representing Canada against USA, Japan, and Greece in the final race competition.
Congratulations to the Akram Jomaa Campus students on their outstanding achievements! Congratulations as well to their parents, teachers, and staff for their dedication and unwavering support.
A special thank you to Principal Ramy Elhamalawy for his vision, planning, and inspirational leadership. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Mrs. Jennet Atabayeva, our science/robotics teacher, for leading the team to this remarkable success. Mrs. Atabayeva has built our robotics and coding program from the ground up and helped our students succeed all year. This accomplishment reflects the hard work, commitment, and teamwork of everyone involved.
Recognition and Leadership
Alhamdulillah, the Calgary Islamic School has made significant progress over the past two years, and Insha'Allah, we will continue striving for even greater excellence.
Our partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), together with the support of our new educational partner, Prairie Rose School Division (PRSD), represents one of the first major steps in our journey toward academic excellence and innovation.
Strategic Vision for Excellence
The Calgary Islamic School Society (CISS) has adopted a comprehensive strategic plan that focuses on strengthening both academic excellence and technological innovation while continuing to enhance our Alternative Program, including Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Tahfeeth program under the leadership of Principal Moussa Ouarou OBK Principal.
Furthermore, we have begun implementing a comprehensive education improvement plan for both our academic curriculum and our Alternative Program (Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Tahfeeth). This plan is designed to ensure continuous renewal, innovation, and excellence across all aspects of our educational programs.
Rest assured that the CISS Board, with the support of the MCC and the Muslim community at large, together with our principals and staff, will continue working tirelessly until the Calgary Islamic School is recognized among the leading Islamic schools in North America.
